Young Czech driver Teodor Borenstein will make his debut in the F4 CEZ Championship during the upcoming race weekend at Slovakia Ring. At only fifteen years old, he will be part of the Jenzer Motorsport team.
A new challenge awaits kart racer Teodor Borenstein, who has turned 15 and is now eligible to race in a Formula 4 car. The weekend at Slovakia Ring with the Swiss team will be more about learning and gaining experiences.
„I started karting at 13 and gradually worked my way up to cars. I have limited racing experience because I’ve never competed in any championship. Most of the time I have been testing, for example with GT4 cars,“ says Teodor.
The deal with Jenzer Motorsport was arranged through F4 CEZ promoter Josef Krenek. Teodor Borenstein’s mentor will be the well-known Petr Semerád, who has worked with Krenek in the past and was the runner-up in the TCR Eastern Europe Championship two years ago.
„The chance to race for Jenzer Motorsport will be a great learning experience and a significant opportunity for Teo. I am responsible for everything around his races, and I’ve also become his mentor and guide into the world of circuit racing since he has practically no racing experience. Teo is a very fast, capable, and smart kid, but to make his entry into racing easier and allow him to focus on himself and the races, I will be here as his support and assistant. I am also coaching him and trying to pass on as much of my experience as possible. I’m an all-in-one mentor, handling logistics, administration, negotiations, coaching, preparation, data analysis, and more,“ explains Semerád.
The plan is simple: the Slovakia Ring event will be more about getting to know the car, the environment, and the series. If everything goes as planned, they will continue for the rest of the season, and Teo will chase his dream career.
„I would like to become one of the drivers in the WEC Championship. I also want to inspire young people to pursue motorsport and show them that anything is possible. My biggest dream is to get into Formula 1. Unfortunately, knowing that I started late and didn’t gain the necessary experience, this dream seems unrealistic,“ added Teodor Borenstein.
