Kirill Kutskov makes it three at Salzburgring

Maffi Racing driver Kirill Kutskov ended the F4 CEZ season in dominant form, winning all three races at Salzburgring.

Michalina Sabaj started from pole position for Race 3 alongside Nathanael Berreby, while Simon Schranz and Max Karhan lined up on the second row. The third row belonged to newly crowned F4 champion Oscar Wurz and the winner of the two previous races, Kirill Kutskov. František Němec started from seventh.

At the start, Simon Schranz stalled his engine, while Michalina Sabaj shot into the lead, with Kutskov and Karhan in third. Unfortunately, Sabaj ran wide at the final corner and spun into the gravel trap. Her car came to a stop at the pit lane entrance, prompting the deployment of the safety car.

The order behind the safety car was Kutskov leading, followed by Karhan, Berreby, Wurz, Němec, and Schranz. Sabaj soon managed to restart her car and rejoined the race.

The drivers followed the safety car for five laps before the race resumed. Kutskov held the lead, with Karhan close behind, setting up an attack in the final section of the circuit. Karhan eventually passed for the lead, but Salzburgring’s slipstreaming nature allowed Kutskov to retake the position at the same spot a lap later.

Behind the leaders, there was an intense battle between Berreby, Wurz, and Schranz. Wurz eventually moved up to third, but he had to defend against Schranz, who was close behind and pushing for a podium finish.

Kirill Kutskov ultimately secured victory, leaving Salzburgring unbeaten. Karhan finished second, with Wurz in third. Simon Schranz took fourth, Nathanael Berreby fifth, František Němec sixth, and Michalina Sabaj in seventh.
