Will Oscar Wurz extend his lead, or will the Czech drivers have the final word?

The penultimate round of the F4 CEZ Championship will take place at the Automotodrom Brno, and the battle for the championship is closer than ever. Oscar Wurz still holds the lead, but the margin has narrowed after the last round.

The race winner scores 25 points, and with three races per weekend, Wurz’s lead of 46 points over second-placed Kirill Kutskov isn’t as large as it seems. Additionally, the Czech duo of Max Karhan and Miroslav Mikeš are 72 and 83 points behind, respectively. Remember, there are still six races to go, with 150 points available for the winners.

Oscar Wurz and Max Karhan are teammates at Jenzer Motorsport, and as the last round in Most demonstrated, there is no friendship between them on the track—they are as competitive with each other as with the other drivers in the field.

Kirill Kutskov, from the Maffi Racing team, is determined to make Wurz’s run to the title as challenging as possible. However, in recent events, new and fierce competitors have emerged to challenge Wurz and Kutskov. Max Karhan and Miroslav Mikeš from the Czech team JMT Racing, have made their mark in the recent rounds, both winning races and scoring podium finishes.

These four drivers are at the top of the table, fighting for every available point. But there are many others striving to make their mark.

Renauer Motorsport will make their comeback to F4 CEZ with young Austrian driver Simon Schranz. The new Czech racing team F4 CEZ Academy is preparing cars for Marek Mičík František Němec, who will substitute during training injured Michelle Jandová. However, there will be still three women on the grid: Kornelia Olkucka from Maffi Racing and Michalina Sabaj from AS Motorsport. Slovenian team AS Motorsport is also preparing a car for debuting Australian Joanne Ciconte. Maffi Racing will also field a third car for Nathanael Berreby.
