Renauer Motorsport participated in the second round of the F4 CEZ series held at the iconic Red Bull Ring. The weekend brought the team both highs and lows, with young driver Luca Savu delivering noteworthy performances and securing a podium finish in the Rookie Rocket Cup classification.
Romanian driver Luca Savu, who joined Renauer Motorsport shortly before the start of this year’s F4 CEZ season at Balaton Park, continued to show strong performances at the Red Bull Ring, where 24 cars were competing. At just 16 years old, Savu hold strong among competitive starting field.
Several teams and drivers from the Italian F4 series used the Austrian F4 CEZ race as an additional opportunity to gain more skills. The competition was fierce, featuring many experienced racers. Although Savu did not qualify well, finishing with the 21st fastest time, he showcased an excellent drive in the first race, climbing to 13th place overall, and finishing at the podium in the Rookie Rocket Cup category, securing second place.
In the second race, Savu once again pushed forward with his yellow-black single-seater and ultimately finished 17th. Unfortunately, he had to retire from the third race after just the second lap due to a collision with Jonathan Corrella.
