Kamal Mrad wins qualifying by 0.020 seconds

The qualifying session for the F4 CEZ championship at Red Bull Ring was very close, with 24 drivers on the track. The eventual winner was Kamal Mrad from PHM Racing, who set the fastest time at 1:31.704. His teammate Davide Larini was second, only 0.020 seconds slower.

Reigning F4 CEZ champion Ethan Ischer from Jenzer Motorsport finished third and will start alongside Andrej Petrović from PHM Racing. The PHM team had many drivers at the front, with Maksimilian Popov ending up sixth behind fifth-place Luca Viisoreanu from Real Racing.

Jenzer Motorsport also had solid qualifying results, with cars in seventh to tenth place in the order of Enea Frey, Oscar Wurz, Matúš Ryba, and Max Karhan.

The large starting field of 24 Formula 4 cars will have its Race 1 in the afternoon, and we can expect spectacular racing with young drivers behind the wheel.
