The second event of the 2024 F4 CEZ season will take place at the Formula 1 track, Red Bull Ring, in Austria this weekend. Interest in the race is very high, with more than 20 Formula 4 cars on the starting list.
Many young drivers and teams have decided to participate in the F4 CEZ at Red Bull Ring, as it’s a Formula 1 Grand Prix track where most junior drivers aim to compete. Alongside the drivers committed to the full F4 CEZ season, we will see several drivers from different F4 series who found a free weekend to participate in the F4 CEZ.
Jenzer Motorsport will enter six cars this time. Alongside Ethan Ischer, Oscar Wurz, Andrija Kostic, and Max Karhan, we will see Enea Frey and Matúš Ryba. Team PHM will also bring no fewer than five Formula 4 cars for Maksimilian Popov, Everett Stack, Andrej Petrović, Mrad Kamal, and Davide Larini, the son of former Formula 1 driver for Ferrari or Sauber, Nicola Larini.
Maffi Racing, which entered the F4 CEZ season with two cars for Kornelia Olkucka and Kirill Kutskov (who won Race 3 at Balaton Park), has added a third car for Nathanel Berreby. Alongside Olkucka, we will see two other young ladies in the field: Michalina Sabaj from AS Motorsport and Michelle Jandová from SAPE Motorsport. Their teammates are Wiktor Dobrzanski and Mirek Mičík, respectively.
A new team in the field is BVM Racing with Shimo Zhang, who previously raced for Jenzer Motorsport but has switched teams for the Red Bull Ring event. His teammate will be Jan Koller.
Miroslav Mikeš showed great promise in the opening round with JMT Racing and is looking forward to repeating those results. He is the only driver for his team, as are Luca Savu, entered by Renauer Motorsport, Luca Viisoreanu from Real Racing, Franciszek Halatnik from Orlen Janík Motorsport, and Jonathan Corrella from Gender Racing Team.
A full grid of Formula 4 cars promises great racing. There have never been so many cars in the field, and the competition is exceptionally high and strong. The Red Bull Ring will be a very important race weekend for every participant.
