The opening round of the F4 CEZ championship began with the qualifying round at Balaton Park Circuit, where Jenzer drivers Ethan Ischer and Oscar Wurz were fighting for pole position. Ischer was ultimately the fastest, only by 0.047 seconds in front of Wurz.
The next two positions also belonged to the Jenzer Motorsport team, with Shimo Zhang in third and Andrija Kostic in fourth. Kirill Kutsov and Jonathan Correrella rounded out the top 6.
Altogether, fourteen Formula 4 cars entered this opening round, including three young women: Kornelia Olkucka and Michalina Sabaj from Poland, and Michelle Jandová from the Czech Republic.
