On February 3rd, the initial phase of the F4 CEZ Academy project took place at Lukamotorsport. The academy aims to identify and support the most promising male and female racers, aiding in the development of their professional careers. In addition to simulator driving, the new generation of drivers also experienced media interviews.
The F4 CEZ Academy offers participants a year-long program filled with intensive training and education, preparing them for the 2025 season. At the official launch in February at Lukamotorsport, four young talents gathered – Marek Mičík, Martin Knápek, Kristýna Kalistová, and Michelle Jandová.
Josef Křenek and Lukáš Karhan presented the academy’s program in detail, followed by a focus on a competition for the best times on Racing Fuel Simulators CZ, where drivers competed on the Most circuit in the Tatuus T-421 formula. An exhibition race featuring Adam Kout, Max Karhan, and Ondřej Hartych took place first. Then, the young academy members took their turn in the special simulators, demonstrating not only competitiveness but also talent.
Simulator race results:
- Marek Mičík (1:35:727)
- Martin Knápek (1:36:218)
- Kristýna Kalistová (1:36:461)
- Michelle Jandová (1:37:459)
After the race, the academy members underwent media training, including on-camera interviews, which is one of the important aspects of the program – preparing drivers not just on the track, but off it as well. At the end of the day, they received calendars, copies of the new motor racing magazine Racing Journal, and caps.
The F4 CEZ Academy has a comprehensive program planned for this year, including simulator training, physical fitness checks, personal car driving, media training, and of course, Formula 4 testing. The academy will provide talented drivers not only with theoretical knowledge and practical skills but also a unique opportunity to participate in real races and gain valuable experience. In the coming weeks, participants will be introduced to Formula 4 with the SAPE Motorsport team.
„We are thrilled to open doors for future stars of motorsport and provide them with a platform for developing their talent,“ says Josef Křenek, one of the academy’s main organizers. „We expect this program to discover and support new talents who will represent motorsport at the highest level in the future.“
